I've gotten a lot of raised eyebrows about the Verve Lit Award schedule, mostly in sudden boredom, so I've been revising the process a bit to make it more streamlined, enjoyable, and entertaining. The voting will now be held in the summer, since the award is GIVEN BY KIDS, and kids have more time in the summer to be online. Hopefully this won't be a big deal to surpass. I'm glad I decided on this before I switched over to the new domain.
Another thing I wanted to do was see if anyone would like to critic the new VLA layout? My mom was enthralled by the one over on Wordpress but it made my eyes cross. Therefore the new design is pretty simple, but I want people to like it and remember it.
Fourthly: I spent two. Hours. Coding. Email. Reply. Forms. And then I realized I couldn't use the coding for Verve Lit because it required PHP hosting. So now I have to use the totally lame Google one. I miss Wordpress already.
*refrains from being sarcastic*
Yes, I've had a week.
This is why VLA has been a ghost town for the last weekend. I've been messing with this stuff.
At least when I'm a famous author (IE: +moolah), I'll be able to surpass Wordpress and Blogger and just code my own stinkin blog. That'll be the day........
