Junonia <3
The Summer Before Boys (wanted to buy this a looooong time ago)
Seaglass Summer (didn't even look at the description)

Penderwicks 2 & 3 (read before)
The librarian smiled at me while I was checking out. "That's some good stuff."
Me: "Uuuuhh..... yeah, yeah, it is. *smiles stupidly*"
Not to copy Lidia, who just did a book list post. xD
Hopefully one of the new ones will go up for the VLA. I'm considering doing a drastic change. It's a #snore. AHHHHH, I'm using hashtags in EVERYTHING now.
That, ladies and germs, is my random post for the week. Bear with me.
Ooh.. is that the Gloria Whelan "Listening for Lions"? She used to be one of my favorite authors. :) Still is, I guess, but I haven't read her in a while because I finished all of her books.
ReplyDeleteI always get awkward librarian conversations too. My brothers check out books on my card, so I usually am checking out the max amount, which is 25. XD
Yep, it is! I was thinking about reading some of her other works, but wasn't sure if they were PG-13 or not. xD
DeleteBaha! I don't know why librarians treat you weird if you're a book nerd. Libraries are for CHECKINGOUT STACKS OF BOOKS. I usually get about 10, but today I got 14. My library lets you check out as many books as you can physically carry. My dad usually uses my card. It would be weird if I had to share with a brother!
Lol :) Yeah, most of the Gloria Whelan books have a little bit of romance. But I would say it's all appropriate for 11 and 12-year-olds, so no worries there. ;)
DeleteOh. Sweets. It's not like I can't handle a little bit, but I start to get annoyed when things go too far. ;-) WOOT.
DeleteAhhhh, sounds like you got some awesome books! I've been devouring 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mom, Abbs and I are reading The Count of Monte Cristo.........BEST. BOOK. EVER. I mean, SERIOUS. It is one of my favorite books EVER thus far.
ReplyDeleteYeah, sorry that was a rant. xD Anywho. Sea Glass Summer sounds stellar!
