Life in 140 Characters

 Okay.

 Enough.

 I need off of Twitter.

Every time I go to write a blog post, I think up one sentence and abandon the draft. I compose in fragmented segments with the given Twittiquette grammar, e.g. "Because if the itinerary of someone so important was secret, the entire media would be waiting there with cameras. #LameMysteryShow"
Obviously anyone in their right mind would not start every sentence with the word 'because'. I'm even starting to do this with my novel, and that is not acceptable unless that is how your character really talks/narrates.

I don't know when I'm going to do it, but it'll be soon. The whole reason I got so hooked on it was because all of my friends are easier to reach on Twitter, though in vague and incomplete ways. Facebook has even become a big time waster for me. To be honest, I'd like to prove that I could have a following as a writer and not be on FB. Because in the end, sites like FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr... they are all the same. And I'd really love to just go back to email.

 And message boards.

Does anyone remember those? Y'know, the really slow-loading categories with topics and lots(x1938924) of comments that really don't mean anything at all?

To make myself feel even older, I dare say I want to watch a VHS.

Funny saying as I now have a DVD/Blu-Ray player on my snazzy wonderful laptop.

Who the heck cares about blu-ray, anyways? -sigh-

  1. hehe. We still have a huge VHS collection. (is that lame?) xD And a VHS player! They're awesome 'cause they're totally indestructable! :D lol. We do have a blu-ray player too. It's kinda dead though 'cause it's old...it doesn't play blu-ray anymore, just DVDs. retarded thing.

    1. YES! We still have one of those TVs with the built in VHS player... it still works! I still have The Homeward Bound trilogy (funny, we didn't call it that when I was a kid), The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and some Aussie kiddy movie called Napoleon.

That's lame that it doesn't work anymore!
There used to be a video rental place I'd go to with my mom that had a melted VHS hanging from the ceiling... But you are very right, it's hard to mess up a VHS!

  2. LOL! We have LOADS of VHS movies, and a player! They are terrible quality but you can't hurt them! I hate it that as soon as a dvd has a little scratch on it, it is ruined. Plus they are so much cheaper than dvds. :-)

    1. Hehehe...

We should do a VHS blog tour or something.

I'm still wondering how DVDs can be $20... I mean you can get a movie on iTunes for under $10 and just burn it to a DVD for crying out loud. -sigh-

    2. IKR!!! VHS are still anywhere from 4 dollars to 50 cents, but they are indestructible! Besides, we have a Blu-ray player, and after it was a year and a half old it stopped reading blu-rays! It will still read normal dvds but never Blu-rays. We have like 6 movies that are no good now.

One of the movies we can't watch is Dark Knight! I **LOVE** that movie and when we want to watch it we have to rent it!

Okay. I am done ranting now. :D <3

  3. Right. Who cares about Blu-Ray?
...I don't even know the difference between regular DVD and Blu-Ray. xD
    I LOVE VHS.
    they're the best.
One time when I was really tiny I got my fingers stuck in a VHS player. yes. It hurt.
I love improper sentences. Especially "one word sentences", like: Anyway. Or: Yeah.
    gaaaaaaaaaaaaah. okay.
Plus another amazing thing about VHS is that it SAVES YOUR SPOT. None of this "Scene Selection" stuff. it's awesome.

    -Beezee.

P.s. I've just gotta say, I love your blog. You're such an awesome, funny blogger.

    1. UGH, I know. I guess a blue-ray is smaller and is in HD. Either that, or a light saber.
